LiveJasmin has been around a long time, over 10 years in fact. The site was created way back in 2002 and since then has changed significantly. The website is now one of the most popular adult cam sites around, offering high quality models, a slick website  and huge numbers of performers to choose from.

The Website & Content

The homepage looks a lot different to most adult webcam sites, here everything runs dynamically. For example, the images are extremely high resolution profile pictures, placing your mouseover the images provides you a preview into the girls chat room (this save you having to open a new page). Hovering over the image also displays the girls name and status (this will be live or video intro if she is already in private chat).

The page will automatically display a new ‘live’ preview of a different room ever few seconds and scrolling down the page will automatically load more camgirls. It really is well thought out and designed and there is little to no lag.

When you have chosen a girl that you like the look of you can click her profile picture and you will be taken directly to her live chat room. From here you can make the video size bigger or smaller which is ideal if you have a slower connection speed. The image above shows the default size which is actually ideal in most cases.

The right hand panel allows you to send messages to the chat host along with other guests and members. You may find the models won’t reply to you unless you have registered an account. This is not always the case as some will talk to guests but if you are asking questions and they don’t reply, this is likely why.

Down the left hand side of the video are several options, these include:

• Model Bio: Basic information about the model along what they will do in chat

• Get credits: You need to register first

• Add to favorites: You need to register first

• Take a snapshot: You need to register first

• View gallery: This gives you several photos along with a video from a previous chat session however even this is restricted until you signup.

Unfortunately, free video chat as a guest doesn’t last long, after perhaps a minute a popup will alert you that you have run out of free chat time and that you will need to register free to carry on watching. It is possible to watch an unlimited amount of models and chat sessions but the timeout makes things seem rather pointless. It’s far better to register for free and watch as long as you like. Registering at Livejasmin is simple, just enter a username and password and your email address and that’s it! You won’t be required to verify your email, provide a credit card or anything.

Now that you are registered you will have your own userID by which that chat hosts can recognise you, they are now likely happy to chat to you. you can also add any that you like the look of to your favourites.

  Models can charge pretty much what they like for private chat but the price is always clearly displayed. Average prices seem to be from $1.99 – $3.99 per minute.

  Navigation

  The site really only has 3 categories accessed by the drop down next to the logo, these are girls, boys and trannys.
  Next to this is the search box, you can type in directly a phrase for example stockings or feet however the results are mixed. A better idea is to use the multi tag filtering system located at the side of the search box. Even this though I found to be hit and miss, check out my results for girls 18-22 with blonde hair and big boobs in free chat!

  So yeah, search and filtering leave a lot to be desired.

  The little star on the left is your favourites button, when you add a host to your favourites she will be stored here for easy access.

  Apart from the woeful search and filtering system, everything else is straightforward although with few options it’s not hard to understand.

  After spending some time with various chathosts and generally browsing the site I found things easy to use, videos loaded quickly and the girls I spoke to where reasonably friendly. A lot seemed to be Eastern European (Polish / Latvian /  Slovakian etc).
  As a member I found that most of the girls would reply to your questions however some insisted on private before they would talk to you, I don’t know if they just didn’t understand but it seems crazy that you need to enter private just to find out if the girl has a dildo.

  Overall

  I really like LiveJasmin when I reviewed it, I found it rather well designed with some nice features. It’s great that they don’t have recurring payments, is anonymous and the prices look good.
  All the cams I saw ran nicely, the frame rate was good however I would have liked to see more HD cams. Most of the chat hosts used a microphone which is important when you want to hear all the noises
